Impurities in ice cores can inform on a variety of climate processes such as atmospheric transport, volcanic eruptions, sea ice and many others. I have 9 years of experience analyzing ice cores for the content of impurities by means of Continuous Flow Analysis (CFA). I have participated in 6 measurement campaigns on deep ice cores from the two hemispheres and several shallower. I have organized a number of CFA campaigns and created new CFA methods (acid, phosphorus). I have Greenland ice sheet field experience (9 months
over 6 seasons), and an established international network and host annually a PhD school on ice core analysis and techniques.
